The Common University Entrance Test is an all-India level competitive examination for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in India. All central universities in India require the CUET Exam. Central Universities Entrance Test is the CUET full form. What is CUET Examination

The Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level entrance exam for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes. The exam is to assess a student's academic ability and potential.

Students who wish to take the CUET Exam paper must have completed 12 years of schooling (10+2). They must also meet the minimum age requirements set by their chosen university.

The University Grants Commission introduced the exam for admission to various central universities and colleges.

Fifty-four universities and colleges will perform CUET paper 2023 for admission to various courses. Be familiarise with the exam format to maximise your chances of success!

CUET 2023 Exam Pattern

Since the previous year, NTA has made various changes to the CUET paper pattern and structure. Candidates can use the table below to get an overview of the new exam pattern.

  1. The CUET exam will be in computer-based test (CBT) mode.
  1. The CUET Exam 2023 will have four major sections:
  • Section IA - 13 Languages (both as medium and as a "Language")
  • IB Section - 20 Languages
  • Section II consists of 27 domain-specific subjects.
  • Section III - General Test
  1. A Candidate may take a maximum of nine Tests in the following order-
  • Maximum of two languages from Sections IA and IB combined, six domain subjects from Section II, and a general test from Section III.
  • Maximum of three (3) languages from Sections IA and IB combined, five (5) Domain Subjects from Section II, and one (1) General Test from Section III.
  1. The CUET 2023 exam will use a Multichoice Question format.

Undergraduate, The student must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in class 12th for General category candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
Post Graduate The student must have scored a minimum of 55% (General category) and 50% (SC/ST/OBC/PWD category) in the Graduation Degree. There is a different cut-off for the OBC candidate students in some places.
PhD Programme The candidate must have a post-graduate degree in the particular stream with a minimum of 55% marks for general candidates, 50% marks for OBC candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
