What is AFCAT?
The whole format of the AFCAT is the Air Force Common Entrance Test. Candidates are selected based on their performance in an online written test administered by the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) and a series of interviews. Candidates selected for admission to the Ground Duty (Technical) division must take the AFCAT CBT exam and the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
There are 100 questions divided into four sections: General Awareness, English Language Proficiency, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test. After the written exam, candidates for the AFSB and the medical exam are shortlisted.

AFCAT Exam Test Pattern
The exam is divided into AFCAT and EKT. Both papers are submitted on the same day. Candidates applying for the Technical Branch must complete the following in addition to the AFCAT EKT:
AFCAT exam is an online test administered in two shifts. The exam consists of 100 questions a student must answer in 120 minutes.
