GATE 2023 Result

The GATE result includes the marks obtained by the candidate, the GATE score, and the All India Rank (AIR). The GATE score is calculated based on the normalized marks obtained by the candidate in the GATE exam. The GATE score is used for admission to postgraduate programs in engineering, technology, and architecture, and for recruitment in PSUs.

It is important to note that the GATE Score Card is valid for three years for admission to PG Programs. Score Card is valid for 1 year in PSUs recruitment. The expected date of declaration of the GATE 2023 result is 16 March 2023.

GATE 2023 Expected Cut-offs

The GATE Exam cutoff is the minimum mark or score required by a candidate to qualify for admission to postgraduate programs or recruitment in PSUs. The GATE cutoff varies for different disciplines, institutes, and categories. The GATE conducting authority (IIT Kanpur) will release the cutoff for each discipline and category along with the result.

The cutoff is generally higher for the top-ranked institutes such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) as compared to other institutes. The GATE cutoff for PSUs is generally higher as compared to the cutoff for admission to postgraduate programs.

However, meeting the GATE cutoff does not guarantee admission to a postgraduate program or recruitment in a PSU. Candidates also need to meet other eligibility criteria and participate in the counselling process to get admission to a postgraduate program.

Similarly, for recruitment in PSUs, candidates need to clear the group discussion and personal interview rounds, in addition to meeting the GATE cutoff.
