Wish to become an Agniveer in the Indian Army? Here’s how you can do it

Agneepath is the new scheme launched by the Government of India on June 14, 2022, for recruiting soldiers for the post below the commissioned level officer. All the people will be recruited through this scheme for the four-year program. The age limit for the scheme was 17.5 years to 21 years which was later on extended to 23 years with a provision to retain 25% of them for more than 15 years of the period.

The candidates will be referred to as the ‘Agniveers’ who will be given a distinctive rank and insignia for their individuality. They will wear this uniform for four years. The selection will be based on the Physical Test, Physical Measurement Test, Written Test, and the Medical Test. Today we’ll discuss all the Agnipath Scheme.

Registration Process

As we mentioned above the first batch for Agniveer for the Army will begin from the July, so you need to be clear about the registration process of the course. Here are a few simple steps for registration:

  • Step 1- Visit the official website https://joinindianarmy.nic.in/.
  • Step 2- On the homepage, click on JCO/OR Apply online.
  • Step 3- A new page appears with the URL- https://joinindianarmy.nic.in/BRAVOUserLogin.htm.
  • Step 4- Click "Register" if you are a new user, and log in with your username and password.
  • Step 5- Enter your details, and the qualifications are requested to be completed on the application form.
  • Step 6- Attach the required documents in the prescribed format.
  • Step 7- Pay the required application fee.
  • Step 8- Download the application form for future use.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must hold the eligibility criteria considering the factors of the educational qualification and the age limit. Given below is the list of the eligibility criteria, you need to surpass to be eligible for the examination.

Agniveer (General Duty) (All Arms) Class 10th Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.

For boards following greeting system minimum

of D grade 33% to 40% in individual subject or equivalent

of grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate in

C2 grade or equivalent corresponding to 45% in aggregate.

chemistry, maths, and English with 50% marks in

aggregate and 40% in each subject.

Agniveer clerk/storekeeper technical (All Arms) 10+2/intermediate Exam Pass in any stream arts commerce or

Science with 60% marks in aggregate and a minimum of 50% in each

subject. Securing 50% in English and maths/ accounts/books

keeping in CI XII is mandatory.

Selection Process

There are four stages/rounds, students need to clear all four rounds to be eligible for the Indian Army Agneepath Scheme. The stages will be as follows:

Salary Expectations

Under the 2022 Agneepath program, Agniveers will receive a customized monthly package that will increase from the first year to the fourth year of service in the Indian army. For the first year of service, Agni Veer will receive a customized monthly salary of 30000, contributing 30% to energy savings, and the total cash on hand will be 21000 rupees.

Q1. Who can apply for this scheme?

Ans. Any men and women under 17.5 to 23 years old can apply for this scheme.

Q2. Are there any reservation criteria for girls under the Agneepath scheme?

Ans. Girls can apply for this scheme, but there are no reservation criteria for them under this scheme.

Q3. What is the salary expectation under the Agneepath scheme?

Ans. In the first year, the salary will be more than 4.5 lac per annum, which can upgrade to 6.9 lac in the fourth year during practice.

Q4. Is the Agneepath scheme and the Agnipath scheme different from each other?

Ans. No, both the Agneepath and the Agnipath scheme is the same scheme. It’s just a matter of writing only. If you type any of them, it’ll open the same scheme.
