India is strategically located in Asia and shares its boundaries with nine countries. It is surrounded by the Indian ocean in the south, the Bay of Bengal in the East, and the Arabian Sea in the west.
India is the seventh-largest country globally and the second-largest in Southeast Asia in terms of area. It is the second-most populous country after China. The total length of the land border is 15107.5 Km, and the entire length of the Indian coastline is 7516.6 Km with the whole island territory.
India shares its boundaries with Afghanistan and Pakistan to the North-West, China, Bhutan, Nepal to the North, Bangladesh to the East, Srilanka to the South-East, the Maldives to the South-West and Myanmar to the East.

Afghanistan is located in Central Asia's heart, also called the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. India has always been a good relationship with Afghanistan.
