  • Completed B.Ed/BTCT or D.Ed (specialization) or in the final year of any of the courses
  • For Urdu teachers, candidates must have two years of diploma/BTC in Urdu from NCTE-affiliated institutes. Candidates with a Moa’llim-e-Urdu degree from Aligarh Muslim University before 11th August 1997 are also eligible.

Uttar Pradesh TET Eligibility Criteria for Upper Primary School Teachers (Class V to VIII)

  • The applicant must have completed the intermediate exam with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Candidates should have Bachelor’s/Master’s degrees in any stream from UGC recognized university.
  • Completed four years of bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), B.Ed, or any equivalent
  • For Urdu teachers, candidates must have two years of diploma/BTC in Urdu from NCTE-affiliated institutes. Candidates with a Moa’llim-e-Urdu degree from Aligarh Muslim University before 11th August 1997 are also eligible.

How to Apply for UPTET Exam?

The UPTET Exam online application is available via the online website www.updeled.gov.in. Here are the steps to follow to apply for the exam:

  • Visit the official UPTET website. Click on the UPTET Registration button.
  • Fill out the application form with all the necessary or relevant information.
  • Upload scanned photograph, signature in the appropriate format, and all the supporting documents.
