AMMONIUM PHOSPHATE FORMULA

Chemistry Formulas

It is a type of salt throughout the reaction between concentrated phosphoric acid and ammonia. Salt is a colorless, odorless, crystalline solid that isn't soluble in water. Additionally, it is a highly unstable compound and has less commercial value. However, it is being used as a food additive or as an emulsifier, flame retardant, and also in fertilizer.
The formula of ammonium phosphate is (NH4)3PO4. The salt compound consists of positively charged ammonium cations (NH4+) and phosphate anion (PO43-) which carries a -3 formal charge. Combining these 2 ions in the ratio of 3 to 1 or cross-multiplying the ionic charges provides us with the formula.
