Cyanide formula also referred to as Cyanide Ion formula or Cyanide Anion formula is explained in this article. It's a pseudo halide anion being the conjugate base of hydrogen cyanide. It will function as an inhibitor. This chemical compound consists of cyano groups comprising a carbon atom connected to a nitrogen atom with a triple bond. The chemical or molecular formula of Cyanide is CN−.
It's a white-colored compound that occurs in the form of crystals or powder. In its liquid form, it smells like bitter almonds. Once absorbed by the skin through wounds or inhaling and ingesting hydrogen cyanide forms colored toxic because of decomposition. When this compound is burnt it produces toxic oxides of nitrogen.
