What is the full form of BA?

BA full form is Bachelor of Arts. The BA is a 3-year degree system and is considered one of the most attended courses in India with over nine million students. Enrollment in BA is generally merit-based; but BHU UET, NPAT, DUET, etc. There are entrance tests. TNOU, IGNOU, KSOU, etc. BA distance education can be obtained from universities. The time allowed to reach this distance course is three years, with a maximum of six years. BA courses usually cover English, Geography, Mathematics, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, History, Social Work, and Home Sciences.

BA eligibility criteria

Students must meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the BA course. Students who pass their high school exams (10 + 2) by any stream from a recognized education council can choose an undergraduate degree course. Many colleges and universities hold entrance exams so students can qualify for the course. Other colleges require students to achieve at least 50% success in their 12th exam. There is no age limit for registration in this course.

Admission process for BA

BA Admission is possible both by an entrance examination and based on merit. Many universities offer both direct admission to the undergraduate course and admission to the entrance examination. Applicants for the Bachelor of Arts program must have all required documents such as 12 results and identity verification before taking the entrance exam. Applications for undergraduate courses can be made online on the university's website or offline by visiting the university's admissions office. Certain colleges and universities also accept students who perform exceptionally in extracurricular activities as part of the ECA and sports quota. Usually, 5% of the seats are reserved under the ECA and sports quota. An interview will be conducted by some pre-admission exams to check if the students have good communication skills.
