Full form of NABARD

A full form of NABARD is the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. NABARD is an apex regulatory and licensing organization for rural, regional, and apex cooperative banks in India. History of NABARD

A Reserve Bank of India (RBI) formed a committee on March 30, 1979, under chairman B. Sivaraman, a former member of the Planning Commission to review the program for the institutional credit for Agricultural and Rural Development.

On the recommendation of the Sivaraman Committee, the Government of India passed the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Act in 1981, and NABARD took place on July 12, 1982.

It was established with the first capital of Rs.100 crore, and its capital pay was Rs.14,080 crore, with effect from March 31, 2020.

Function of NABARD

NABARD provides credit services, direct funding, and short-term and long-term re-financing for various Agriculture and Rural Development projects. NABARD also manages Funds such as the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund and the Micro Irrigation Fund.

NABARD's international associates include organizations affiliated with the World Bank and international development organizations working in agriculture and rural development.

Salary of NABARD Officers

Grade A officer

  • Basic pay for officers in Grade 'A' of Rs.28150 / - p.m. in the range of Rs.28150-1550 (4) -34350-1750 (7) –46600 – EB-1750 (4) -53600- 2000 (1) -55600.
  • They also qualify for Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance according to the rules.
  • Their current monthly income is about Rs. 62,600 / -p.m.

Grade B officer

  • Employees receive a basic salary of Rs. 35150 / - p.m. in the range of Rs.35150 - 1750 (9) - 50900 - EB - 1750 (2) - 54400 - 2000 (4) - 62400 (16 years).
  • Along with the basic salary, they are also eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance according to the rules.
  • Their monthly earnings are estimated at Rs. 73600 / -p.m.

Nationality Criteria for NABARD Grade A

National criteria for the NABARD Grade-A requirement are the first phase of the eligibility process. A person wishing to apply for the NABARD Grade A examination must be a

(i) Indian citizen or

(ii) Nepal citizen or

(iii) Bhutan citizen or

(iv) A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962 to permanently settle in India or

(v) An Indian person who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania

(vi) Migrant students need to read the information provided by NABARD in the article.

Age Limit Criteria for NABARD Grade A

The candidate must be between 21 and 30 years from 01/07/2022, i. e, the candidate must have not been born before 02/07/2019 and no later than 01/07/2001 (both days are included) eligible to apply.

  • Post Graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 45%) in aggregate or Ph.D. Or CA/CS/CWA with a bachelor's degree, or
  • 2-year full-time P.G. Diploma in Management /full-time MBA degree from Institutions recognized by GOI / UGC with a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
Agriculture
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture with 60 % marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, OR
  • Post Graduate degree in Agriculture / Agriculture (Soil Science/ Agronomy) with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution.
Agriculture Engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Engineering with 60% marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Engineering with a minimum of 55 % marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 50 %) in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution.
Animal Husbandry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences / Animal Husbandry from any recognized University with a minimum of 60 % marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 55 %) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Veterinary Sciences / Animal Husbandry with a minimum of 55 % marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 50 %) in aggregate
Fisheries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science from a recognized University/Institution with 60 % marks (SC/PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Postgraduate degree in Fisheries Science with 55 % marks (SC/PWBD applicants 50%) in aggregate
Forestry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from a recognized University/Institution with 60% marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate or
  • Postgraduate degree in Forestry with 55% marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate.
Plantation/Horticulture
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture from any recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Horticulture with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate.
Land Development-Soil Science
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture / Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) with 60% marks (PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Agriculture /Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) with a minimum of 55% marks (PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution.
Water Resources
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydrology/Applied Hydrology or Geology/Applied Geology with Hydrogeology /Irrigation /Water Supply & sanitation as one of the subjects with 60% marks (PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Hydrology/Applied Hydrology or Geology/Applied Geology with Hydrogeology/Irrigation /Water Supply & sanitation as one of the subjects with 55%marks in aggregate (PWBD applicants 50%) from a recognized University.
Finance
  • BBA (Finance/Banking) / BMS (Finance/Banking) with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 55%), OR
  • Two years full-time P.G. Diploma in Management (Finance) / Full-time MBA (Finance) degree with 55% (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 50%) from Institutions/ Universities recognized by GoI /UGC with Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • Candidates will be required to submit a certificate from Institution/University regarding specialization in finance OR Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 55%), OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution with Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The Membership of ICAI must have been obtained on or before 01-07-2022 OR CFA.
Computer and Information Technology
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Computer Applications/Information Technology with 60% marks (SC/PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate, OR
  • A post graduate degree in Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Computer Applications/Information Technology with 55% marks (SC/PWBD applicants 50%) in aggregate from a recognized university
Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (RAJBHASHA)
  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university in English or Hindi medium with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55%) or equivalent in aggregate, and PG Diploma in Translation (minimum one year) in Hindi to English and vice-versa from any recognized University.
  • Candidates must have studied English and Hindi as subjects in at least 02 years of bachelor’s degree course. OR
  • Master’s Degree in HINDI with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55%). Candidates must have studied English as a main/ elective subject in at least 02 years of bachelor’s degree course. OR
  • Master’s Degree in ENGLISH with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55%). Candidates must have studied Hindi as a main/elective subject in at least 02 years of bachelor’s degree course. Candidates must be able to translate from English to Hindi and vice/versa.
