NEET Update - NEET UG 2023 Registration opens at neet.nta.nic.in

The NEET UG 2023 online application window has opened. Applicants may register for the medical entrance exam the National Testing Agency (NTA) website. April 6 is the deadline for NEET 2023 applications. On Sunday, May 7, the entrance exam will be administered.

Applicants must first visit the official NTA website and enter the necessary demographic and educational information. Following that, applicants must pay the application money, upload the requested papers and scanned photos, and then submit the form. The application form should be downloaded and saved for later use, candidates are urged.

Before applying for NEET UG, candidates should fulfill the NEET-UG eligibility criteria and have all the necessary documents ready to avoid any last-minute confusion.

In order to be admitted to the first year of undergraduate medical studies, interested candidates must have reached the age of 17 at the time of application or will do so by December 31 of the allotment year.

Steps To Register for NEET UG 2023

  1. Visit the official website of NTA NEET - https://ntaneet.nic.in/.
  2. Click on the “NEET (UG) Registration” link.
  3. Read the rules carefully and click on the “Proceed to Apply Online NEET (UG) 2023” button.
  4. Fill in the application form with your personal and academic informations.
  5. Upload scanned images of your recent passport-size photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression in the specified format and size.
  6. Review the details provided in the application form and click on the “Final Submit form” button.
  7. Pay the application fee using online modes of payment like net banking, credit/debit cards, UPI, or e-wallets.
  8. After successful payment, take a printout of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference.

Candidates need to pay the NEET registration fee according to their category:

General Category - Rs.1700

GEN-EWS / OBC-NCL - Rs.1600

Sc/St/PWD - Rs.1000

NEET Exam Pattern

NEET Exam Pattern: 200 multiple-choice questions from the subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology will make up the NEET UG 2023. (Botany and Zoology). Each subject will contain 50 questions and will be split into two sections (A and B). All candidates will take the same exam, which will last 200 minutes (03 hours and 20 minutes), from 2:00 pm to 5:20 pm IST.

Documents Required For Neet Ug 2023 Registration

When uploading the scanned copies of the following as part of submitting her online application, you must do it only in JPG or PDF format:

  • Most recent JPG-formatted passport-size photograph (size: 10 kb to 200 kb)
  • A JPG file with a postcard-sized (4" X 6") image (Size: 10 kb - 200 kb)
  • JPEG version of the signature (size: 4 kb to 30 kb)
  • Images of the left and right hands' fingers in JPG format (file size: 10 kb to 200 kb). To record both hand impressions of the candidate for NEET 2022, a format for left and right hands impressions is provided.
  • Category certificate in Pdf file (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, etc) (file size: 50 kb to 300 kb)
  • PDF-format PwD certificate (file size: 50 kb to 300 kb)
  • PDF-formatted Embassy/Citizenship certificate (file size: 50 kb to 300 kb)
  • PDF-formatted Class 10 passing certificate (file size: 50 kb to 300 kb)

Seat Availability

Almost 48,000 of the nearly 92,000 MBBS undergraduate seats in India are in government colleges, and nearly 44,000 are in private colleges. According to a recent report by Anand Rathi, the number of applicants stands at six students per seat in 2016 and would increase to ten in 2021, despite the addition of 30,000 seats for MBBS programs in India over the last six years.
