We choose a convex mirror as a rear-view mirror in vehicles because it gives a wider area of view, which permits the driver to look on the traffic behind him.  A convex mirror is preferred as a rear-view mirror in automobiles and vehicles because it gives a much wider area of view, that enables the driver to look most of the traffic behind him. Convex mirrors usually form an erect, virtual, and diminished picture of the objects placed in front of it. Convex mirrors usually shape a digital, erect, and dwindled photo of the gadgets located in the front of it.

-When the object is far away from the mirror, the picture is upright and placed on the focal point.
