Power, P = 100 W

Voltage, V = 220 V

We know that,

Power, P = V2 / R

R = (220)2 / 100

R = 484 ohm

(b) The safe limit of current that can be passed through it is

I = P / V

I = 100 / 220

I = 0.45 A
