D: 3 times

Best Answer

Explanation:

Let the age of Rohit be x

Then his father’s age will be 3x + x=4x

After 8 years, Rohit’s age -x+8

And father’s age =5/2(x+8)

So we have,

4x+8=5/2(x+8)

8x+16=5x+40

3x=24

x=8

After 8 years Rohit’s age is 16 years.

And father’s age will be 8×4+8=40

So after 8 more years, Rohit’s age is 16+8=24 years.

And father’s age will be 40+8=48 years

So the ratio of age =48/24=2

Final Answer:

Option A is the correct choice.i.e 2 times
