The length of two sides of a triangle are 10 cm and 13 cm. between what two measures should the length of the third side fall?
(a) Between 3 and 27

(b) Between 3 and 26
(c) Between 3 and 23

(d) Between 3 and 25

Best Answer

(c) we know that
“The sum of the lengths of any two sides of a triangle is always
 greater than the third side”.
Therefore, the third side has to be less than the sum of the two sides.
The third side will be less than from 10+13 =23 cm.
and the third side can not be less than the difference of the two sides.
So, the third side will be greater than from 13-10 = 3 cm.
the length of the third side could be any length greater than 3
 and less than 23 cm.
