. What is micropropagation
It is a tissue culture technique to produce multiple clones of the plant without sexual reproduction.
It is the asexual mode of reproduction.
The plants are artificially formed in laboratories by using a plant part, as each cell of the plant has the capacity to divide and form a complete plant by introducing appropriate plant growth hormones.
The tissue culture medium provides the plant cell with all the nutrients required for its growth.
Plantlets are then grown in soil for hardening and multiple plantlets are obtained.
The production of large number of plantlets artificially/in vitro with asexual means is micropropogation.
