if the energy available  at the first  trophic level is 10,000  joules?

Ans. According to 10% law, only 10% of energy entering a particular trophic level of organisms is available for transfer to the next higher trophic level. If energy in the 1st trophic  level is 10000 J.

Then, energy in 2nd trophic level = 10% of

10000 J = 10/100 X 10000 J     = 1000 Joules
