JoSAA has released the official 2025 seat matrix for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Candidates can now review seat availability before counselling begins.
A total of 62,853 seats are available through JoSAA 2025. Seat counts have increased due to new courses and higher intake capacities.
The 23 IITs collectively offer 18,160 seats in 2025, including supernumerary seats for female candidates.
NITs provide the highest number of seats among participating institutes, with 24,525 seats available across 31 campuses.
IIITs provide 9,940 seats while GFTIs offer 10,228 seats, creating more opportunities for engineering aspirants.
Seats are distributed across Open, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories through All India and State quotas.
