Everything you need to know about NIOS Study Centres (Accredited Institutions), where you get academic support, resources, and guidance throughout your journey.
What Are NIOS Study Centres?
A NIOS Study Centre, officially called an Accredited Institution (AI), is an authorised school or institution that provides academic and administrative support to learners enrolled in NIOS Secondary (Class X) and Senior Secondary (Class XII) courses. They serve as the primary link between NIOS and its students, where learners attend Personal Contact Programmes (PCPs), access lab facilities, submit assignments (TMAs), collect study materials, and receive guidance on exams. These centres also conduct orientation programmes, facilitate access to platforms like PM e-Vidya and SWAYAM, and manage administrative tasks such as admissions, examination support, and certificate issuance. Eligible institutions include schools affiliated with CBSE, CISCE, State Boards, or any other recognised board in India, with overseas institutions applying through their respective Indian Embassy.
