Our office buzzed with anticipation as the Health Crusaders, our Administration Department, geared up for the big event. Armed with clipboards, smiley face stickers, and a mission to promote healthy living, they transformed our mundane workplace into a hub of wellness excitement. From arranging appointments to setting up a health station within the premises, their passion ignited the whole office.
Meet, Rudhira, our Graphic Designer and the eager participant who braved the scales and stethoscopes in the name of good health. From seasoned gym enthusiasts like Gaurav from the PW OnlyIAS team to Ankita from the marketing team who consider lifting a coffee cup as their daily workout, our diverse crew signed up for their turn at the health check-up stations. Nervous excitement filled the air as we eagerly awaited our numbers on the health report cards.
One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the height measurement station. As the participants stood tall against the measuring tape, we discovered a range of reactions. From comical attempts to stretch a little taller by Santanu from the IT Crew to debates about wearing high heels by Parul from the Doubts Department, each height measurement became a moment of laughter and camaraderie.
Ah, the blood pressure measurement—a classic moment of suspense and surprise. As the cuff tightened around our arms, we watched with bated breath as the numbers fluctuated. Some of us, like Reena serving in Innovations Vertical the self-proclaimed "cool cucumbers," wore a confident smile, while others such as Amritalaha from the Centre of Excellence (COE) Vertical nervously awaited the outcome. In this lighthearted episode, we learned that even the calmest among us can experience a temporary case of "white coat syndrome."
Enter the realm of cholesterol testing, where our eating habits come under the microscope. With visions of cheeseburgers and doughnuts dancing in our heads, we queued up to face our dietary demons. The suspense built as we awaited the results, hoping for a clean bill of health while secretly promising ourselves to lay off the office snacks for a while. Oh, the joys of healthy living!
