
KVS NVS Teaching and Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026 Admit Card: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the admit cards for the KVS and NVS Recruitment Examination 2026. Candidates who applied for teaching and non-teaching posts can now download their Tier-1 hall tickets from the official portals. The admit cards were issued on 8 January 2026 for examinations scheduled on 10 and 11 January 2026.
This large-scale recruitment drive aims to fill 15,762 vacancies across Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). Posts include teaching roles such as PGT, TGT, and PRT, along with several non-teaching positions like JSA, SSA, ASO, MTS, Stenographer, and others. CBSE had earlier released the exam city intimation slip on 26 December 2025, and candidates can now access complete exam details through the admit card.
Candidates can download the admit card using their Registration Number and Date of Birth. The hall ticket mentions essential details including exam date, shift timing, reporting time, exam centre address, and candidate information.
Carrying a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID is mandatory for entry into the examination hall.

The Tier-1 examination will be conducted in two shifts on both days:
10 January 2026 (Morning): PRT, JSA, Lab Attendant
10 January 2026 (Afternoon): MTS (HQ/RO Cadre)
11 January 2026 (Morning): PGT, Principal, Vice-Principal, Assistant Commissioner
11 January 2026 (Afternoon): TGT, Librarian, ASO, SSA, Stenographer, AE, Junior Translator
Each shift will be of two hours duration.

Enter your Registration Number (starting with 2598) and Date of Birth.
Submit the details and download the admit card PDF.
Take 2–3 clear printouts for exam day use.
Candidates are also advised to download and carry the self-declaration form, if applicable.
The Tier-1 exam is a qualifying screening test conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets. It consists of 100 objective-type questions carrying a total of 300 marks, with negative marking for incorrect answers. Sections include Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Knowledge, Computer Knowledge, English, and Hindi/Regional Language.
The selection process varies by post:
Teaching Posts: Tier-1 (qualifying), Tier-2, followed by interview or demo teaching
Administrative Posts: Tier-1 and Tier-2 (final merit)
Skill-Based Posts: Tier-1, Tier-2, and skill/typing test
Support Staff: Tier-1 and Tier-2
Candidates must reach the exam centre at least 90 minutes before the reporting time. Only permitted items such as admit card, photo ID, and a blue/black ballpoint pen are allowed. Electronic gadgets, bags, study material, and food items (except for medical reasons) are strictly prohibited.
CBSE has also introduced biometric verification and strict OMR rules, and candidates are advised to follow instructions carefully to avoid penalties.
With the admit cards now available, candidates should focus on last-minute revision and ensure all required documents are ready well before the exam day.
