AIIMS PhD Eligibility Criteria 2026

Before filling out the AIIMS PhD online application, ensure you meet the specific educational requirements for your category:

1. Medical Qualification

• Must hold an MBBS or BDS degree with at least 55% aggregate marks.

• OR possess an MD, MS, MDS, DM, or MCh in the relevant subject.

• Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) holders are also eligible.

2. Nursing Qualification

• Candidates must have an MSc degree in a Nursing speciality.

• A minimum of 55% aggregate marks is mandatory for admission to the AIIMS College of Nursing.

3. Non-Medical Qualification

• Eligible Degrees: MSc (Non-Nursing), MTech, BAMS, or BHMS.

• Minimum Marks: At least 60% aggregate marks in the last qualifying exam.

• Requirement: The degree must be a 2-year programme from a recognized Indian University.

• Note: Candidates with Master’s degrees via Distance Learning are NOT eligible.

AIIMS PhD Entrance Exam Pattern & Syllabus
