CBSE has introduced three significant initiatives for the 2026 examination cycle.
Class 10 students will be given an additional opportunity through a second board examination system. This reform is designed to reduce exam stress and offer flexibility to improve performance.
CBSE will implement On-Screen Marking (OSM) for Class 12 answer sheets. Under this system:
Answer scripts will be evaluated digitally
Manual handling will be reduced
Transparency and consistency will improve
This step may streamline evaluation and enhance accuracy in marking.
CBSE has announced restructuring or division in the question papers for:
Class 10 Science
Class 10 Social Studies
Detailed guidelines regarding this structural change will be explained during the webcast.
The Board Exams 2026 will be conducted on a large scale:
31,000+ affiliated schools
46 lakh students are appearing
8,074+ examination centres
26 countries abroad
This large scale makes coordinated communication essential before exams begin.
With exams beginning on 17 February 2026, students should:
Follow official CBSE updates only
Review the latest exam guidelines
Focus on syllabus-based preparation
Avoid relying on unofficial social media claims
Stay calm and prepare systematically
The live webcast on 13 February 2026 serves as an important briefing session that may clarify structural and evaluation-related changes for this academic year.
