The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the online facility to challenge the provisional answer keys, recorded responses, and question papers for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026. This process allows registered candidates to review their attempted shifts and point out any discrepancies in the evaluated answers.
A total of 15,68,867 candidates registered for the high-stakes entrance examination this year. The test was conducted in multiple shifts as a computer-based test (CBT) across various centers in India and abroad. The main phases of the examination took place from May 11 to May 31, followed by rescheduled sessions on June 6 and June 7, 2026, which were arranged after a minor technical delay in earlier shifts. Candidates must note that the window is brief, making timely submission essential.

Alternate NTA Website: nta.ac.in
Candidates can submit objections against the provisional responses by executing the structural steps detailed below:
Critical Note: A challenge will not be formally registered or reviewed by the NTA if the transaction for the processing fee remains incomplete or fails before the cutoff time.
Non-Refundable Fee: The fee of ₹200 per question is entirely non-refundable, irrespective of whether your claim is accepted or rejected by the panel.
Mode of Payment: Fees will only be accepted online through integrated gateways (Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card/UPI). No offline modes like Demand Draft or Challan are valid.
Single Document Rule: When providing academic proof for multiple challenged questions within a subject, merge all reference pages into one single PDF before uploading.
No Direct Intimation: NTA will not send customized emails or alerts to candidates concerning the approval or rejection of their individual scripts.
Once the CUET UG 2026 objection window closes on June 11, the National Testing Agency will hand over all candidate objections to a verified panel of independent subject matter experts.
If an objection is found to be scientifically or academically correct, the answer key will be modified globally. This corrected answer key is called the Final Answer Key. The calculation of the final raw scores and compilation of the final merit ranks will be handled strictly based on this revised final key.
Following standard patterns from previous test cycles, NTA typically processes compiled student objections within 2 to 3 weeks. Therefore, students can expect the release of the final answer keys and final scorecards by late June or the first week of July 2026. Admissions counseling schedules across central, state, and private participating universities will open immediately after the scorecards are made live.
