The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Main Session 1 Result 2026 on the official portal along with the scorecards. Twin Brothers from Odisha, known as the Khan brothers, secured identical scores in the JEE Main Session 1 exam. In a rare and remarkable coincidence, twin brothers Mahroof Ahmed Khan and Masroor Ahmed Khan have secured the same percentile, making them the talk of the nation.
In an examination designed to rank millions of students based on tiny decimal differences, these two brothers achieved an identical score of 99.99 percentiles.
Both brothers have been inseparable in their academic journey. They are from Bhubaneswar, they moved to Kota, Rajasthan pursing their dream of becoming engineers. Two twin brothers lived together to study for the JEE Main exam.
Their success is not just a matter of luck but a result of five years of hard work. The brothers started their foundation as early as Class 8, focusing on clear concepts and consistent practice. Their mother, Dr Zeenat Begum, a gynaecologist by profession, even left her job to live with them in Kota, providing emotional support to the kids.
Secret Behind the Identical Score
It is hard to believe that two individuals can score the same in such a complex exam. Every student knows that JEE preparation requires immense discipline, and these twins followed a synchronised schedule:
Study Together: They cleared each other’s doubts immediately rather than waiting for coaching classes.
Mutual Motivation: On days when one felt low or scored less in mock tests, the other was there to lift his spirits.
Healthy Competition: They often ranked 1st and 2nd in their coaching institute tests, pushing each other to do better.
Masroor mentioned that while he sometimes made silly mistakes, talking to his teachers and his brother helped him refine his technique. Mahroof added that following the NCERT textbooks and the guidance provided by their mentors in Kota was the key to their high scores.
