The wait for over 13.6 lakh engineering aspirants is almost over. Following the release of the Final Answer Key on February 16, 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to activate the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 scorecard link imminently.
This session, conducted from January 21 to January 23, 2026, saw a high attendance of approximately 96.15%. The results will now be processed based on the definitive responses confirmed in the final key.
Historically, the NTA releases the official scorecards within hours or up to 24 hours after the publication of the final answer key. Since the final key was released on February 16, 2026, the results and scorecards are expected to be available on the official portal by late tonight or tomorrow morning.
Official Link: Scorecards will be accessible at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Credentials Needed: You will need your Application Number and Date of Birth to download the document.
Result Preparation: The scores are calculated based on the definitive responses in the final key, which includes 9 dropped questions
The most significant development before the result declaration is the NTA's decision to drop 9 questions across various shifts after reviewing expert objections.
Bonus Marks Rule: As per NTA policy, if a question is dropped, full marks (+4) are awarded to all candidates who appeared in that specific shift, regardless of whether they attempted it or not.
The NTA utilizes a normalisation system for the scorecard. Since the exam was conducted across multiple shifts, your raw score (based on the final key) is converted into a percentile. This ensures that students are not disadvantaged by the varying difficulty levels of different question papers.
