Prior to the declaration of results, the CET Cell published the final answer key on 30 May 2026 after reviewing objections submitted by candidates.
The entrance examination followed a straightforward marking system.
Physics: 1 mark for each correct answer
Chemistry: 1 mark for each correct answer
Mathematics: 2 marks for each correct answer
Negative Marking: None
Since there was no penalty for incorrect responses, candidates were encouraged to attempt all questions during the examination.
Although the CET Cell does not prescribe any official passing marks, admission competitiveness generally depends on the marks secured and the course sought by the candidate.
For highly sought-after courses, candidates from the General category often aim for scores around 90 marks or above out of 200. Meanwhile, students belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, and OBC may remain competitive with scores around 80 marks or higher, depending on seat availability and counselling trends.
With the PCB results now available, candidates should prepare for the counselling and admission process. Students are advised to keep their scorecards, academic documents, and category certificates ready for verification during seat allotment.
The detailed counselling schedule and admission guidelines are expected to be released separately by the Maharashtra CET Cell.
