The NEET UG 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on May 3, 2026 (Sunday), from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in offline (pen-and-paper) mode. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards at the earliest and verify all details carefully.

Step 1: Visit the official NTA NEET portal at neet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Go to the "Candidate Activity" section on the homepage.
Step 3: Click on the link: "Admit Card for NEET (UG) 2026".
Step 4: Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth / Password, and the Security Captcha.
Step 5: Click Submit to access your admit card.
Step 6: Verify all printed details carefully — name, roll number, photo, exam centre, and date.
Step 7: Download the PDF and take a colour printout on A4-size paper. Keep it safe until counselling ends.

NTA has issued a strict dress code for NEET UG 2026 to prevent malpractice and ensure smooth frisking. Any violation may cause delayed entry or denial of admission to the exam hall.
Half-sleeved, light-coloured shirts or plain T-shirts only. Full-sleeved shirts are NOT permitted.
Simple trousers or plain pants. Avoid cargo pants, designer jeans, or clothes with multiple pockets/zips.
Open-toed slippers or simple sandals with thin soles. Shoes, sports shoes, boots, and high-ankle footwear are prohibited.
No belts, watches, wristbands, caps, or metallic accessories.
Clothing must not have large buttons, badges, embroidery, or metallic attachments.
Half-sleeved, light-coloured ethnic or western wear. Full sleeves are discouraged.
Salwar or trousers permitted. Leggings and palazzo pants are NOT allowed.
Sandals or low-heeled slippers only. Heeled shoes or boots are prohibited.
Absolutely no heavy jewellery. Ornaments, metallic accessories, wristbands, and bracelets are banned.
No embroidery, sequins, or large decorative buttons on clothing.
Candidates wearing cultural/customary attire must report at least 1 hour before the last reporting time (by 12:30 PM) for thorough frisking.
All candidates will undergo compulsory and extensive frisking with sensitive metal detectors. Female candidates will be frisked in a closed enclosure by female staff only.
NTA's advisory is unambiguous: any candidate found with a banned item will be treated as having adopted unfair means (UFM). Action is taken under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.

Carry a colour printout on A4 paper with your photograph and QR code clearly visible.
