SSC CGL 2026 Tier 2 Exam Date is divided into two days, with distinct papers for different posts.
January 18, 2026: Focuses on the Skill Test (DEST) and specific modules.
January 19, 2026: Conducts Paper 1 (Compulsory for all) and Paper 2 (for JSO applicants).
Reporting Time: Candidates are generally required to report by 7:45 AM. Late entry is strictly prohibited once the gates close (usually 30–45 minutes before the exam starts).
The Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) is a qualifying but mandatory module. Failing to meet the accuracy standards here can lead to disqualification regardless of your score in other sections.
Task Requirement: Candidates must complete a data entry task of approximately 2,000 key depressions within 15 minutes.
Accuracy Standards: * UR: Maximum 20% errors allowed.
OBC/EWS: Maximum 25% errors allowed.
SC/ST/Others: Maximum 30% errors allowed.
Evaluation: Only the computer provided by the SSC can be used. Typing is case-sensitive, and only one space is allowed after punctuation marks.
Handwritten Requirement: Immediately after the test, you must write a specific paragraph (50–60 words) from the passage in your own handwriting on the provided sheet.
To avoid any last-minute hurdles at the center, ensure you have these items ready:
Admit Card: A clear printed copy of the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 2 admit card. Do not write anything on it beforehand.
Original Photo ID: A valid ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License) where the Date of Birth matches the admit card exactly.
Note: If your ID lacks the full DOB (Date/Month/Year), carry an additional original certificate (like a Class 10th marksheet) as proof.
Photographs: Carry at least two recent passport-size color photographs.
