The SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) 2026 exam, conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), recruits for non-technical Group C posts like peons, chowkidars, and havaldars across Indian government departments. Scheduled from February 4 to 15, 2026, in computer-based test (CBT) mode across multiple shifts, it features two sessions: Session 1 (Numerical Ability & Reasoning, 45 minutes) and Session 2 (General Awareness & English, 45 minutes), totaling 90 MCQs for 270 marks with no negative marking.
A hard copy of the admit card downloaded from the official SSC website is mandatory for entry at the exam centre.
Digital copies on phones will not be accepted.
Carry one original, government‑issued photo identity proof. The ID must exactly match your name and details on the admit card. Commonly accepted IDs include:
Aadhaar Card (with photo)
PAN Card
Passport
Voter ID Card
Driving License
College/University ID (if mentioned as acceptable)
Bring 2–3 recent colour passport‑size photos, preferably the same one used in your application form. These may be required at the centre for verification or attendance records.
DOB Proof: If the ID you carry doesn’t show full Date of Birth, bring additional proof (like 10th class marksheet or birth certificate) as backup.
PwBD/Disability Certificate: If you are a PwBD candidate and availing scribe services or compensatory time, bring the original disability certificate and required scribe documents.
Caste/Category Certificate: Carry your original caste or category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) if you may need it at the time of verification or for age‑relaxation validation.

Mobile phones (whether switched on or off)
Smartwatches or electronic wearables
Calculators or digital devices
Books, study notes, or papers
Bags, wallets, or any bulky items
Bluetooth devices or electronic gadgets
Carrying these items may lead to disqualification from the exam.
Arrive Early: Reach the exam centre well before the reporting time on your admit card — usually 30–45 minutes early is recommended.
Verification: At the entry gate, officials will verify your printed admit card and original ID proof, and may also check your passport photos.
Matching Details: Ensure your name and Date of Birth (DOB) on the ID exactly match the details on the admit card — otherwise, you may be denied entry.
