IBPS Clerk Educational Qualification

A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate should possess a certificate as proof of passing the qualifying examination. The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate stating that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory, i.e., candidates should have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/College/Institute.

The IBPS Clerk 2025 Mains Exam pattern has changed a bit. There will now be 155 questions, but the total marks are still 200. Also, the exam time has been shortened to 120 minutes instead of the previous 160 minutes. Negative Marking: When you give wrong answers in both the preliminary and mains exams, you'll face a penalty. IBPS Clerk Provisional Allotment

  1. The marks in the main exam are a total of 200. The marks out of 100 are considered for advanced distribution. Candidates must qualify the online main exam, and their performance should be high enough to be considered in the subsequent pre-allotment process
  2. After passing the main exam, depending on the business needs of the participating banks for the state/university vacancies to be filled. In the financial year 2025-26, the proposed candidates will be provisionally allocated to one of the participating banks based on bank preference
  3. Initial allocation will be made based on the actual vacancies reported by the participating bank. banks
  4. Reserved category candidates selected based on norms applicable to the general category will be treated at par with general category candidates. Such reserved category candidates who are provisionally allotted to the unreserved (general) category will not be considered for the reserved post. But the original category registered for their online registration will remain unchanged
  5. The initial allocation is subject to the applicant meeting the participating bank and identity verification criteria to the satisfaction of the allocated bank. This is not a job offer.
  6. The participating bank verifies the eligibility criteria of the documents
  7. Participating bank also verifies the local language of the state/UT (reading, writing, and speaking) for the shortlisted candidates.
