The eligibility criteria to appear in CA Intermediate 2026 exam are as follows:
Candidates must have passed the CA Foundation examination conducted by ICAI and must have completed the minimum period of study before the exam.
Graduates or postgraduates in any discipline can register directly for the exam by following the Direct Entry Route:
Commerce graduates/postgraduates with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks
Graduates/postgraduates in other disciplines with at least 60% aggregate marks
Candidates who have passed the Intermediate level examination of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) are also eligible for registration.
Registration for CA Intermediate course must be completed at least 9 months before the exam month.
CA Intermediate registration is valid for 5 years and can be extended by paying a fee.
Candidates must also complete the required articleship training and other formalities according to the rules of ICAI before appearing for the exam.
The CA Intermediate 2026 exam application process is as follows:
Visit the ICAI SSP website (https://eservices.icai.org/).
Login using your registration id and password or new user registration.
Complete your personal information, exam information and upload photo/signature along with other required documents
Process the application fee payment online. The application fee is Rs 1500 for a single group and Rs 2700 for both groups. Late fee of Rs 600 is applicable.
On successful payment, download the filled application form PDF and preserve it for your future reference.
In case, the photograph or signature is not appearing on the downloaded form, print the form, paste a recent colored passport-size photograph and sign manually and attest the form by Gazetted Officer/Chartered Accountant wherever necessary
Submit the form before the due date. No changes to the information will be allowed after the final submission of the form.
The CA Intermediate 2026 admit card will be released approximately 15 days before the exam. Candidates can download the admit card online through the official ICAI portal at eservices.icai.org by logging in with their User ID (SSP login ID) and password.
The admit card includes important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center, exam dates, and timings. It is mandatory to carry the printed admit card along with a government-issued ID to the exam center. In case of any discrepancies or missing photograph/signature, candidates can print the admit card and manually affix the photograph and signature followed by attestation by a Chartered Accountant (ICAI member).
