The most important thing which the aspirants of KCET 2020 have to check before applying for this exam is to check the eligibility criteria for the exam. It is important because the application of the candidate is liable to be rejected if it is found that the student is not eligible to sit for the examination. The applying candidate shall be a citizen of India. Candidate must have passed from the college given on the official website of VTU. Students other than the mentioned colleges shall not be allowed to appear for the examination. Also students who have passed from Karnataka State Open University also shall not be allowed to appear for the exam.
KCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Subjects required: PCM or PCB or combination of Physics and Chemistry with other prescribed subjects. The subject combination is different for each program. The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination other than the Board / Universities listed in the notification at VTU Website are NOT eligible and candidates who have passed from Karnataka State Open University are also NOT eligible.
Domicile: Requirement of having studied within Karnataka state or being a student/resident of the state is clarified under separate clauses. Understand each point to know which category best fits you.
Eligibility / admissions / allotments made to and by the colleges shall be subject to approval by MCI / DCI / AICTE / COA / CCIM / Government / concerned University / Apex Bodies / etc.
KCET Eligibility Criteria 2020
Each candidate should read and understand the same. Eligibility conditions specified by the Karnataka Examinations Authority for Karnataka CET will enlist the various conditions that must be satisfied by candidates for the KCET 2020 entrance exams. Before filling up the application form of KCET 2020 candidate must ensure that they satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria of respective course.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Bangalore will be conducting the Common Entrance Test (CET 2020) for admission to first-year undergraduate courses like Indian systems of Medicine and Homeopathy, Engineering / Technology and Agriculture courses.
Eligibility for Government Seats
1. No candidate shall be eligible for admission to Government Seats unless he is a citizen of India and satisfies any one of the following conditions.
2. Each condition is specified as a clause and is individually referred by a code. The documents to be produced during verification of documents in support of the claim for each of the Clauses are also detailed below the respective clauses.
3. The candidates who do not satisfy any of the Clauses / Eligibility Criteria detailed below and the candidates who do not produce the prescribed documents in original will not be eligible for admission to professional courses under Government quota seats.
4. Other than the certificate mentioned in clauses, if a candidate claiming seat under Article 371 (j) Hyderabad-Karnataka region reservation, a candidate should produce eligibility certificate from the concerned Assistant Commissioner in Annexure-A as per the format.
