The IBPS Clerk Preliminary examination is conducted through online mode, and candidates are allotted a total duration of 1 hour. There is a sectional timing of 20 minutes for each of the three sections, allowing candidates to complete the preliminary exam.

To get selected for the mains phase, candidates must clear the IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 2025, which is a qualifying in nature. • Total Number of Questions: 155
• Maximum Marks: 200
• Total Duration: 120 minutes (2 Hours)
• There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. The exam is conducted online, and each section has a separate time limit

The IBPS Clerk Exam consists of four sections:

• Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 40 questions, 60 marks, 35 minutes
• English Language: 40 questions, 40 marks, 35 minutes
• Quantitative Aptitude: 35 questions, 50 marks, 30 minutes

Important Note: Mains exam score will be considered for the final merit list.

Any wrong answer in both prelims and mains will carry negative marks with a penalty of ¼ or 0.25. of the marks awarded for a particular question.
