The IBPS Clerk Exam has two stages: Preliminary and Main. The details of the exam pattern are given below.

IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

The IBPS Clerk Preliminary examination is conducted through online mode, and candidates are allotted a total duration of 1 hour. There is a sectional timing of 20 minutes for each of the three sections, allowing candidates to complete the preliminary exam.

To get selected for the mains phase, candidates must clear the IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 2025, which is a qualifying in nature. A sufficient number of candidates in each category, as determined by IBPS based on requirements, will be shortlisted to proceed to the Online Main examination. Any wrong answer in both prelims and mains will carry negative marks with a penalty of ¼ or 0.25. of the marks awarded for a particular question.
