RPSC Research Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2024
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has set the following eligibility criteria for the Research Assistant position:- At least a Second Class Postgraduate degree in Economics, Economics and Public Administration, Public Administration, Sociology, Mathematics, or Commerce.
- If a candidate has a Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics, they must have studied Economics or Sociology as one of the subjects in their Bachelor's degree.
- A certificate in RS-CIT (Rajasthan State Certificate in Information Technology) awarded by Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, or any other equivalent certificate recognized by the Department of Information Technology and Communication in the Government of Rajasthan.
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani Culture.
- Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications, experience, and age before applying online.
- Candidates who have applied with incorrect or false information may be disqualified and debarred from future exams for a period of one year.
- Candidates who are in the final year of their Postgraduate degree can apply, but they must submit proof of qualification before the final exam.

- To apply online, candidates should click on the "Apply Online" link available on the commission’s website https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in or log in through the SSO portal at https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in and select the "Recruitment Portal" under "Citizen Apps (G2C)" to complete One Time Registration (OTR).
- First-time Applicants : Must complete OTR by providing personal details (name, father's name, date of birth, gender) and secondary exam details, along with an ID proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter card, or Driving license) and necessary documents.
- Existing OTR Users : Can log in and apply online using their OTR number.
- No Changes Allowed After OTR : Ensure that all details match academic documents accurately, as no changes can be made post-OTR registration.
- Identity Verification : Verify details against the Aadhaar card before submitting the application. Update Aadhaar if the photo is more than 3 years old. Upload a recent photo that matches the Aadhaar photo.
- Printout : Save a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
- No Offline Applications : All applications must be submitted online; paper forms are not accepted.
- During Application Period : Corrections allowed within the application timeframe and up to 10 days after the deadline with a fee of ₹500.
- 60 Days Before Exam : Candidates can make changes (except for name, father’s name, date of birth, and gender) for 7 days.
- Post Period Corrections : Require OTP verification and notification via SMS, with a fee of ₹500.

RPSC Research Assistant Exam Pattern 2024
RPSC has revised the exam pattern for the Research Assistant examination. Both question papers for the examination will consist of objective-type questions. Candidates will be awarded 3 marks for each correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. To qualify, candidates must achieve a minimum passing mark of 35% for each paper; however, the combined passing mark for both papers is set at 40%. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible for a 5% concession in these minimum passing marks. Additionally, in accordance with the provisions outlined in the Rajasthan Civil Services (Ex-Servicemen's Integration) Rules, 1988, and the Rajasthan Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018, former soldiers and specially-abled individuals are also entitled to certain concessions regarding the minimum passing marks.
