MBBS Internship

MBBS Internship is a crucial 12-month training phase required for completing the MBBS degree, under the guidelines set by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It is also referred to as the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) and is mandatory for obtaining registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI). During the internship, students rotate through various departments like Community Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, and more, gaining practical experience under supervision. The internship must be completed at an MCI-approved hospital, and any deviations, such as insufficient attendance or failure to pass assessments, may lead to an extension. The stipend for MBBS interns varies based on the institution, with top colleges like AIIMS offering around INR 30,000 per month. After completing the internship, students can either practice medicine or pursue higher studies such as MD or MS. The internship is vital for those planning to take exams like NEET PG to continue their medical education.

MBBS Internship or Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI)

MBBS Internship is the popular name for Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI). According to NMC rules, medical graduates can not practice without getting the registration of the Medical Council of India. To get this registration they are required to undergo a mandatory rotatory internship known as CRRI or MBBS Internship. In the CRRI program medical graduates work in allotted hospitals under the supervision of an experienced medical professional. During this internship period, they are trained in various clinical responsibilities of the medical field. After completing the MBBS Internship permanent registration certificate is awarded to Medicos along with the final MBBS degree.
