  • You must hold a Master's degree in Museology & Conservation or a closely related field like Museology, Conservation, Museum Studies, Heritage Management, or Archaeology from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
  • Applying may be possible for those who have passed their Master's degree final exams. Make sure you will meet the minimum percentage requirement by the time the results are revealed if you plan to take the exam the year you graduate with your Master's degree.
  • Doctorate candidates who applied to the NET and passed their Master's level test before September 19, 1991 (regardless of when the results were announced) may be eligible for a 5% aggregate mark decrease.
Minimum Marks
  • Candidates must acquire a minimum of 40% aggregate qualifying marks in both papers combined for the General Category and 35% aggregate in the Reserved Categories (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and Transgender) in order to be considered for the Assistant Professor or JRF jobs in the UGC NET Museology & Conservation Exam 2024.
