JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Results Out: The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Result for the examinations conducted between January 22nd and 29th and the result has been released. Those who appeared for the exam can now access the result to know their scores and whether they have qualified for the next stage.

Following the announcement of the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Final Answer Key, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the scorecard for the first session on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The result will be based on normalized scores, which means that the scores will be adjusted to account for any differences in difficulty between the various exam shifts. 

The score normalization method makes sure that all applicants are treated fairly, no matter which shift they appeared for the exam. The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 results are made available, applicants can now check their scores and get an idea of how well they performed in the exam. These results will also help them understand whether they are eligible for JEE Advanced 2025.

Steps to Download JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Scorecard

To check the result and download the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 scorecard, applicants can follow these simple steps once the results are made public by NTA:

  • Visit the official website: The first step is to go to the official website for JEE Main, which is jeemain.nta.nic.in for the current examination cycle.

  • Click on the result link: Once on the homepage, applicants should look for the link that says "JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Result." This link will be available once the results are officially declared.

  • A new page will appear: After clicking on the link, a new page will open where applicants will be prompted to enter their details.

  • Enter credentials: On this page, they will need to provide their application number and date of birth. After entering these details, they should click on the “Submit” button.

  • View the result: After submitting the information, the result for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 will be displayed on the screen.

  • Download and print the result: Finally, applicants are advised to carefully check their result, download it, and take a printout of the scorecard for future reference.

Once the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 results are checked and downloaded, applicants can start preparing for the upcoming session. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already begun the registration process for the JEE Main 2025 Session 2. Those who are interested can apply for the April session through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The last date to submit the application is February 25, 2025, by 9 PM, while the fee payment window will close by 11:50 PM on the same day. Aspirants are encouraged to complete their registration and payment well before the deadlines to avoid any last-minute issues.

JEE Mains 2025 Session 1 Result Update on NTA Dropping 12 Questions

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to drop a total of 12 questions from the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam. These questions have been excluded from the final evaluation, and applicants will not be penalized for them. The list of dropped questions can be found in the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Final Answer Key released by NTA. The dropped questions are spread across different shifts and dates, as outlined below:

JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Result Update on NTA Dropping 12 Questions

The National Testing Agency (NTA) drops a total of 12 questions from the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam. These questions are excluded from the final evaluation, and applicants do not receive any penalty for them. The list of dropped questions is available in the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Final Answer Key released by NTA. The dropped questions are spread across different shifts and dates, as outlined below:

For the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam centers in India, the following questions are dropped:

  • On 22nd January 2025, during the second shift, the question with ID 656445270 was dropped.

  • In the first shift on 23rd January 2025, the question with ID 7364751025 was dropped.

  • On January 28th, 2025, the second shift had the question with ID 656445728 excluded.

  • The question with ID 656445566, which was part of the first shift on 29th January 2025, was dropped.

  • During the second shift on the same day (29th January 2025), two questions with IDs 6564451142 and 6564451161 were also dropped.

For exam centers outside India, the following questions are dropped:

  • On 22nd January 2025, the second shift question with ID 656445870 was dropped by NTA.

  • The first shift on 23rd January 2025 has the question with ID 7364751250 excluded from evaluation.

  • On 28th January 2025, in the second shift, the question marked with ID 6564451784 was dropped.

  • The first shift on 29th January 2025 also has a question with ID 6564451847 that was dropped.

  • During the second shift of the same day (29th January 2025), two questions, ID 6564451898 and ID 6564451917, were dropped by NTA.

The impact of dropped questions on the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 result is significant, as it directly affects the calculation of applicants' scores. When a question is dropped, all applicants who appeared for the exam receive full marks for that particular question, regardless of whether they attempted it or not. This ensures fairness, as no applicant is penalized for a question that may have been incorrect.
