Note on Normalisation: Since the exam was held in 10 sessions over 6 days, NTA will use a normalised scoring process (Percentile Score) to ensure parity across different difficulty levels.
The final rankings and the All India Rank (AIR) will be prepared by taking the best of the two scores (Session 1 and Session 2). Only the top 2,50,000 qualifiers will be eligible to register for JEE Advanced 2026 immediately after the results are declared on April 20.
Based on initial paper analysis, experts suggest the following qualifying percentiles:
General (UR): 91.5+
OBC-NCL: 75.2+
EWS: 77.8+
SC/ST: 52.4+ / 41.1+
The NTA is scheduled to declare the Session 2 (April attempt) results on April 20, 2026.
Once the provisional key is out on April 11, candidates can raise objections through the official NTA portal by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question challenged.
For candidates who appeared in both January and April sessions, NTA will consider the best of the two NTA scores for the final merit list and ranking.
Candidates should regularly monitor the official NTA website or the dedicated JEE Main portal for all authentic and official notifications.
