NEET (Undergraduate) 2026 has formally emerged as India’s single-gatekeeper medical entrance exam, leaving aspirants with no parallel or private admission routes. As per the National Testing Agency (NTA) and existing regulations of the National Medical Commission (NMC), Dental Council of India (DCI), NCISM, NCH and VCI, every recognised undergraduate medical and allied health admission is now linked to NEET UG scores.
This policy shift has massive implications for Class 12 students, droppers, private college aspirants and parents, as any admission offered without NEET qualification is illegal and void.
