IOQM Cut Off 2026: Expected Cut Off Marks, Merit List & Selection Criteria

IOQM Cut Off 2026-27 will be released by the Mathematics Teachers’ Association of India (MTAI) after the declaration of the IOQM 2026-27 result. The cut-off marks will determine the students who qualify for the next stage of the Indian Mathematical Olympiad Programme, including the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO).
The IOQM 2026-27 exam is scheduled to be conducted on 6 September 2026. After the examination, MTAI will release the IOQM merit list and region-wise/category-wise cut-off marks on the official website.
The IOQM cut-off depends on various factors such as:
- Difficulty level of the IOQM question paper
- Number of students appearing for the exam
- Student performance
- Region-wise and category-wise selection criteria

Along with the IOQM cut-off marks, the IOQM merit list 2026-27 will be released containing the names and roll numbers of shortlisted students eligible for the next stage.
Students qualifying as per the official criteria will proceed to RMO 2026-27.
The selection will be based on:
- Region-wise quota
- Category-wise ranking
- Marks obtained in IOQM
- Official eligibility rules issued by MTAI
Students who score the minimum qualifying marks as decided by MTAI will receive an IOQM certificate.
