WBJEE 2026: WBJEE 2026 is a state-level entrance examination that is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board annually to grant admission to students in undergraduate engineering, technology, pharmacy, and architecture courses offered by different government and private colleges in the state of West Bengal. It is conducted once every year in offline mode on OMR sheets, and candidates can opt for either Bengali or English as the medium of examination.  

WBJEE conducts tests for knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, comprising multiple-choice questions divided into three categories, with negative marking applicable. The test papers are four hours long, with two hours each given for Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry).

WBJEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to appear for WBJEE 2026:

Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • One additional subject among Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science is required.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  1. 45% marks (General) in PCM
  2. 40% marks (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) in PCM

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 17 years as of 31 December 2026.
  • No upper age limit, except for Marine Engineering, where the upper limit is 25 years.

Domicile Requirement

  • Required only for the reserved seats and tuition fee waivers.
  • The examination will be open for both West Bengal and non-West Bengal candidates.
