Step 1: Visit the official website of PMFBY- Open the browser and visit pmfby.gov.in. On the top right corner of the home page, find the link that says "Farmer Corner" and click it.
Step 2: Start as a Guest Farmer - A popup will appear-select "Guest Farmer." This opens the Online Registration Form. If you already have an account, jump straight to Step 4.
Step 3: Fill Out Your Registration Details - Fill in all the details that are marked in red asterisks (*). Under "Farmer Details," fill in your full name, passbook name, relationship, relative's name, mobile number, age, caste, gender, farmer type, and category. Under "Residential Details," fill in state, district, sub-district, village/town, address, and PIN code. In "Farmer ID," select ID type and number. For "Account Details," add IFSC, bank name, branch, and savings account number, confirming it twice. At the bottom is the captcha, which you must fill in and then click "Create User."
Step 4: Access the Insurance Application- Click "Farmer Corner (Apply for Crop Insurance Yourself)" on the homepage. In the popup, select the option "Login for Farmer" to arrive at the login page.
Step 5: Logging In Using OTP- Enter your mobile number and captcha and click "Request for OTP." Enter the OTP received at your phone number and submit. You will be taken to the Farmer Application Form.
Step 6: Complete and Submit Your Application Fill in all the required fields in the application form, and attach necessary documents in the correct format and size. Click "Preview" to review everything and then "Submit." A confirmation message will appear.
Step 7: Handle payment options A popup displays either "Pay Later" or "Make Payment." Select the option that fits your needs. Step 8: Get Your Receipt Print or save the receipt page for your records after payment.
