BEML has announced 1,346 training slots across four locations. The vacancies are available for Graduate Apprentices, Diploma Apprentices and ITI Trade Apprentices.
The Bangalore Complex has 400 training slots. Major trades include Mechanical/Automobile, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Civil, Information Science/Computer Science and allied branches, BBA, B.Com, BCA/B.Sc, COPA, Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Diesel Mechanic, Turner and Welder.
The Mysore Complex offers 227 training slots. Opportunities are available in engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Industrial Production, Automobile, Computer Science and allied branches, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Civil, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Aeronautical, along with diploma and graduate apprenticeship trades.
The KGF Complex has 608 training slots. The available opportunities include engineering, diploma and ITI trades such as Mechanical, Automobile, Civil, Computer Science and allied branches, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, COPA, Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Diesel Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Turner and Welder.
The Palakkad Complex has 111 training slots across Graduate, Diploma and ITI apprenticeship categories. Trades include Mechanical/Automobile, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, BBA, B.Com, BCA/B.Sc IT, COPA, Electrician, Fitter, Plumber, MMV, Carpenter, Welder and Sheet Metal Worker.
Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification for the apprenticeship trade for which they are applying.
Candidates who have passed their final examination within three years from the closing date of application are eligible. Candidates awaiting their final examination results are not eligible. Candidates must also be at least 17 years old.
The qualification must be obtained through a full-time regular course from a recognised institute or university. Qualifications obtained through part-time, correspondence, distance education or online mode are not eligible.
Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any organisation for any duration are not eligible.
The required qualification varies according to the apprenticeship category.
For technical graduate apprentices, candidates should have a 4-year full-time engineering degree in the relevant discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Automobile, Information Science, E&T, AI & ML or Aeronautical.
For general graduate apprentices, eligible qualifications include B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA and BBA (HR).

There will be no written examination or interview. Applications will first be screened according to the prescribed eligibility and qualification requirements.
BEML will prepare a location-wise and trade-wise merit list based on the percentage of marks obtained in the final qualifying examination. Candidates will be called for document verification in a ratio of 1:5 against the available training slots.
After document verification, the provisional merit list will be prepared in order of merit. Eligible candidates will receive the offer of engagement subject to availability of training slots.
The total apprenticeship training period is one year from the date of joining. The apprenticeship will end after completion of one year, and the notification states that no further extension will be permitted.
Selected apprentices cannot enrol in or undergo another regular course or job during the apprenticeship tenure. They will also be evaluated periodically based on their performance.
