Bihar Govt Upcoming Recruitment 2026

An internal notice has been circulated regarding the Bihar Government’s Urban Development and Housing Development. It is regarding the requirement to fill 500 AE/JE posts for the recruitment drive to be organised in 2026. BPSC will issue an official notification for the recruitment drive to commence in the year 2026. Candidates who have completed their engineering degree/diploma, depending on the information provided in the notification, will be able to apply for the recruitment to commence soon in the Bihar State government’s housing department.

Bihar Government's Nagar Vikas Evam Awas Vibhag (Urban Development and Housing Department) has been circulated regarding the recruitment of 500 AE/JE posts. The internal governing authority has approved the vacancies to be allotted for the recruitment drive. Now, BPSC will publish the notification on the official website. It is to confirm the beginning of the recruitment drive to fill 500 posts. The application process will commence only after the release of the notification on the portal. 

Rationale For Recruitment Need in Housing Department

The Nagar Vikas Evam Awas Vibhag has planned the drinking Water and Storm Water Drainage Scheme, the prominent Namami Gange Project, and various other urban development projects, such as the construction of terminal bus stands. Therefore, the authority needs the manpower to involve them in the projects to begin in the year 2026. The housing development authority has released an internal notice confirming the start of the recruitment to fill 500 AE/JE posts in the government department. 

Request for Expedited Recruitment

In response to the identified manpower shortage, the Nagar Vikas Evam Awas Vibhag, Bihar Government, has proactively sent a request letter to the BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission). The primary objective of this communication is to urge the BPSC to expedite the recruitment process for these identified vacant posts. This measure is deemed crucial to ensure the unhindered progress of the department's ongoing and future projects.
