Steps to Apply for ICF Chennai Recruitment 2025

• Go to the Integral Coach Factory’s official website (icf.indianrailways.gov.in) and search for ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2025.

• The application window opens on July 12, 2025, and closes on August 11, 2025, by 5:30 PM. Fill out the ICF Chennai Apprentice Online form with your personal and educational details.

• Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and any other required documents as specified.

• If applicable, pay the fee of Rs. 100 online through credit/debit card or net banking. SC/ST/PWD and female candidates are exempted from the fee.

• After completing the form and payment, submit your application and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

ICF Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2025

To be eligible to apply for the ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2025, candidates must fulfill the criteria set by the concerned recruitment authority. As per the official guidelines, applicants must have a 10th pass with at least 50% marks and possess an ITI in the relevant trade.

Educational Qualification

For Candidates with ITI Qualification:

Fitter, Electrician & Machinist: You should have passed 10th grade (Std X) with at least 50% marks under the 10+2 system or an equivalent qualification, along with a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade. The training duration is 1 year.

Carpenter, Painter & Welder: Same as above — 10th pass with 50% marks and a National Trade Certificate in the respective trade. Training lasts 1 year.

Programming and System Admin Assistant: You need to have passed 10th grade with at least 50% marks and hold a National Trade Certificate in the COPA trade. Training duration is 1 year.

For Freshers (No ITI):

Fitter, Electrician & Machinist: You must have passed 10th grade with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, including Science and Maths, under the 10+2 system or its equivalent. Training will take 2 years.

Carpenter & Painter: Same educational requirements as above (10th pass with 50% aggregate including Science and Maths). Training duration is 2 years.

Welder: Passed 10th grade with 50% aggregate marks including Science and Maths, with training lasting 1 year and 3 months.

MLT (Radiology & Pathology): You need to have completed 12th grade (Std XII) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology under the 10+2 system. Training duration is 1 year and 3 months.

ICF Apprentice Selection Process 2025

The selection of candidates for ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2025 will be based on the merit list based on the marks obtained in the 10th standard exams.

However, for candidates who passed their 10th standard during the COVID period, their 9th standard mark sheet or the 10th standard half-yearly mark sheet, signed by the school principal, will be considered for preparing the merit list. 

If there is a tie in marks, the older candidate will be given preference. If the candidates have the same date of birth, then the one who passed the 10th exam earlier will be ranked higher.

ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2025 Salary

The candidates selected for the ICF Chennai Apprentice program are entitled to receive a stipend based on their educational qualification. For the second year there will be an increase of 10% in the prescribed stipend amount.
