UPSSSC JE 2026 Vacancy Update: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) issued an update for the Junior Engineer Civil Main Examination (Advt. No. 8 Examination 2024) for 4612 posts. A total of 26,205 students are now shortlisted based on PET criteria, with the main exam confirmed for May 3, 2026. Candidates must pay the required application fee (General: β‚Ή200; SC/ST: β‚Ή80) to secure their admit cards. Therefore, the shortlisted candidates can sit in the main examination. 

UPSSSC Junior Engineer Civil Main Examination Updates

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) had previously released Advertisement Number 8 Examination 2024 for the Junior Engineer Civil Main Examination and other related positions, including Assistant Development Officer (Civil). This recruitment drive aims to fill 4,612 posts.

Information about this notification was initially released on March 7, 2024, and the main examination was initially announced for May 3, 2026. The examination will be conducted as per the schedule and candidates need to carry the call letters for the exam. 

Current Update: Shortlisted Candidates & Main Examination

UPSSSC has published a new update, announcing the shortlisting of candidates for the main examination. A substantial number of 26,205 students have been shortlisted for this stage. This higher count of shortlisted candidates is a direct result of the inclusion of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) shortlisting criteria. The main examination date remains confirmed for May 3.

UPSSC JE Application Fee Payment

UPSSSC JE Application Fee is the mandatory fee that needs to be paid by the candidates who have been shortlisted after the preliminary eligibility test. Therefore, the admit cards for the main exam will be provided to the shortlisted candidates only after the fee payment has been made through the online/challan modes.

  • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) Candidates: β‚Ή80
