Initially, 2,847 posts were announced, including 2,819 general posts and 28 special posts. After multiple corrections, the final vacancies have been revised to 4,612, with 3,739 general and 873 special posts. Following multiple petitions in the High Court, the latest decision states that candidates with a B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering are now excluded from this recruitment. Only diploma holders in Civil Engineering are eligible moving forward.
