Aayush Atulbhai Gosai’s ASRB NET Success with PW: How He Cleared Plant Pathology in His First Attempt

Aayush Atulbhai Gosai qualified for the ASRB NET in Plant Pathology on his first attempt while working as a Gram Sevak. Starting his preparation in June 2025, he balanced a 10-to-6 job with focused study, relying on PW’s Plant Pathology batch, self-made notes, repeated revision, and consistent practice.

Aayush Atulbhai Gosai completed his Master's in Plant Pathology from Navsari Agriculture University, Gujarat, in 2022. After a two-year gap from the subject, he was working as a Gram Sevak when he decided to appear for ASRB NET in 2025.

With a full-time job and limited preparation time, he began his journey in June and had only a few months to prepare. Read here how he cleared ASRB NET Plant Pathology in his first attempt.

Aayush Atulbhai Gosai Started His ASRB NET Preparation Alongside His Job

Aayush started preparing for ASRB NET on June 17, 2025, while continuing his 10-to-6 government job. Since his work was agriculture-related and sometimes allowed him to manage his schedule, he tried to attend the live classes during the day whenever possible.

“Madam, maine June mahine se preparation start kiya tha, aur Physics Wallah ka jo NET exam Plant Pathology ka batch purchase karke 17 June se maine preparation start kiya tha, aur sirf job ke saath-saath maine ye sab handle kiya.”

For Aayush, the challenge was not only managing work and preparation but also returning to a subject he had not studied seriously since completing his Master's in 2022. Instead of waiting any longer, he began with the resources available to him and worked around his job schedule.

Aayush Turned His Limited Study Hours into a Routine

Once his workday ended, Aayush followed a fixed study routine. He attended the live class whenever he could, prepared detailed notes from the lecture at night, and revised the material before going to sleep. He also revisited the previous day's topics before starting work.

“Phir ghar jaane ke baad madam kya hota tha ki 9 to 10 baje raat ko main jo aapne jo class liya uski main notes banaata tha, matlab wo pure ka pura lecture completely, phir 2x speed mein bhi badha ke wo likh leta tha. Aur phir roz raat ko madam 10:30 se 12 baje tak main revision karke hi sota tha.”

He also used photographs of his notes during free moments at work or in the field for quick revision. This approach allowed him to keep studying even when he could not dedicate long uninterrupted hours to preparation.

How PW’s Plant Pathology Batch Helped Aayush

With limited time, Aayush did not want to divide his preparation across multiple books and resources. Instead, he followed the PW Plant Pathology batch, made his own notes from the lectures, and repeatedly revised them.

“Aur jo tha matlab jo aapne hi padhaya tha wahi maine refer kiya, aur koi book refer karne ka mere paas time bhi nahi tha, to maine sirf aapki batch se note bana ke aur usi ka revision lagakar maine NET exam crack kiya in three and four months.”

The structured lectures gave him one focused source to work with. He eventually completed three notebooks, organising the material subject-wise and lecture-wise rather than adding information from different books.

“Matlab ye teen notebooks ka matlab ye hai ki matlab ye line line to line hai ki pehle humne History padhi to wo History ke saare chapter hai, phir Mycology ke hai, Molecular ke hai, Bio Bacteriology ke hai, Virology ke hai.”

The batch's tests and practice questions also helped him keep earlier topics in revision while moving ahead with the syllabus. For an aspirant preparing in a short window, this kept his preparation focused instead of making it unnecessarily resource-heavy.

Aayush Atulbhai Stayed Consistent and Focused on Accuracy

For Aayush, consistency was the central part of his preparation. He followed a simple rule: the previous lecture should be completed and understood before moving on to the next one. He also did not allow difficult practice tests to affect his confidence.

When the actual ASRB NET paper turned out to be more difficult and conceptual than the previous year's paper, he relied on accuracy rather than attempting questions in haste.

“Matlab accuracy ke saath hi attempt karna hai, aisa nahi hai ki hadbadi mein ya zyada kam kar de aur zyada kar de to matlab wo negative mark chance zyada rehta hai. To matlab jitna aapko sure ho usko hi attempt karo.”

His consistent routine, focused preparation and careful approach to the examination helped him qualify ASRB NET Plant Pathology in his first attempt.

Conclusion

Aayush Atulbhai Gosai’s journey shows how preparation can be managed even when an aspirant is working a full-time job and returning to a subject after a gap. He used his available hours carefully, stayed with a focused resource, created and revised his own notes, and maintained consistency throughout the preparation period.

His first-attempt success offers a practical lesson for working aspirants: limited time can still be productive when it is used regularly and with a clear preparation strategy.
