Citizens of India.
Inhabitants of Arunachal Pradesh.
Holders of a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Arunachal Pradesh.
Original inhabitants of Arunachal Pradesh.
Holders of an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate issued by the competent authority.
Able to speak any Indigenous Tribal Language of Arunachal Pradesh as specified in the applicable government notification and possess working knowledge of the local indigenous tribes.

For the Dairy Development Officer post, the notification also specifies certain equivalent qualifications, including B.Sc. in Dairying (Dairy Technology), B.Sc./B.Tech in Food Technology, B.Sc. Microbial & Food Technology, and B.Tech Biotechnology as mentioned in the advertisement.
Candidates appearing in the final semester of the qualifying course can also apply. However, they must produce proof of passing the required qualification within the specified timeline.
Candidates should be at least 21 years old and not more than 35 years old as on the last date of application, i.e. September 30, 2026.
The upper age limit is relaxed as follows:

To qualify for the viva-voce/interview, candidates must secure:
33% aggregate marks in the written examination.
At least 20% marks in each paper/subject.
For PwBD candidates, the requirement is:
20% aggregate marks in the written examination.
At least 10% marks in each paper/subject.
If the number of applicants exceeds the required ratio, APPSC may conduct a Recruitment Test (Objective Type) as a screening examination.

The marks obtained in the Recruitment Test will not be counted for determining the final merit.
Candidates qualifying in the Recruitment Test will be admitted to the Written Examination in a ratio of 12 times the number of advertised posts, or as decided by the Commission.
The Recruitment Test, if conducted, and the Written Examination will be held in the Itanagar Capital Region.
